Some info. Yes, the ship has internet access, via satellite. And it's OH-SO-FAST. Beats most of the high-speed connections around, it's called Inmarsat (same thing they use to send SOS signals and stuff)! It's kinda expensive (like 20 bucks for 3 hours worth of access), but then again, I think (think!!!!) that'll have access through the computer I'll use to edit the photos. I'll have to take my equipment, but then I don't know if I'll be actually using it (no1 knows a damn thing about what sort of equip they use on the ship), if it's film, digital, canon or nikon, I'm clueless about it. Time will be an issue as well, I'll have 8 hours of work a day, 7 days a week, I'll also be the only one covering all parties, and events of any sort while on board. Sometimes, only 3-4 hours worth of sleep, it's no piece-of-cake, but then again it's all worthy.
About the IS lenses, I actually thought about it, in times of rough seas, but I was told that the brazilian shores are very calm. I've just got a sigma 24-70 f/2.8 to pair with my 70-200 f/2.8. And am also thinking of getting the canon 100-400 4-5.6 L IS, or either the sigma 50-500 (I'm more of the canon cz of the IS, but the range on the sigma is quite good, and the quality as well is very amazing), but then that'll be more for my own pleasure, as I won't need that much range while working (what I know is that the 24-70 and the 50mm are a must for this sort of job).
Coolhar, thx for your words! U guys won't be done with me LoL. I'll try to keep every1 posted, you guys, family, girlfriend (which is about to kill me LoL).
Thx a lot.....I'm off to some more exams. Back on monday!
Peace!

IS is actually problematical when you're on a moving object trying to shoot somethign else on the same moving object.
