Just a few of the photos here that inspire me - mostly chosen for their color and/or special lighting condition. Stuff that I would be proud to call my own. Kind of give you an idea of what my taste is....
My DPC Favourites
Just thought I'd share; I recently bought two coffee table books featuring landscape photos that have me drooling....

Thanks for sharing, and thanks for including me!
What are the books?
One such book which has inspired me is Ancient America, by David Muench. All my landscape photography has changed as a result. (Check out my Acadia folder for examples, if you haven't see it yet.)
Another set of books that have inspired me is the series by Freeman Patterson.

The books that have really stimulated my creative skills in landscape photography are:
National Audubon Society Guide to Nature Photography (Revised Edition), Tim Fitzharris - I've had this book for about 2 years now - it was the first one that I bought with such beautiful colors in it.
Recent purchases:
Dances with Light - The Canadian Rockies by Darwin Wiggett
Grand Landscapes of Canada by J.A. Kraulis - I bought this book while touring the Nova Scotia coastline in our VW camper bus in October. It was amazing to see photographs in this book of places we actually saw - with the special lighting conditions captured by the photographer, they were unrecognizable when we visited the spots.
The Freeman Patterson books have come to my attention as well, but I have not purchased any due to financial constraints.
I only mark favourites here once in a while - when I come across a photo that really catches my breath. One day I decided to view the thumbnails of my favourites all at once and was startled to see the similarities throughout all of them. Rich colors and contrast being the primary similarities. I don't spend enough time here looking at the wealth of photos here - too busy always looking through the forums to see what "new" I can learn.
