Hi. I just got the SB-600. As far as im aware I can use it as a remote to my onboard flash on my camera. Or am I mistaken? If Im not, could any one tell me how to do this? Ive read most of the manual and am un able to figure it out. Thanks.

Try this:

Set camera to Flash Mode --> Commander Mode --> TTL

Set flash (while off camera) by holding "Zoom" and "-" simultaneously for 3 seconds. Press Mode to switch it to "On" and press "On/Off" to return.

The SB-600 will fire remotely when the speed light on the camera is up. There will be a delay, as the camera uses the speed light to instruct the SB-600, but it should work.
