I love classic cheesecake pinups. I was thinking that this would make a great challenge. I'd like to see some recreations of classics or some totally new spins on cheesecake.

Great idea, run them simultaneously, would break up the submissions. Though I consider beefcake a subset of cheesecake, your idea works well.

Wow, it only took four posts for this thread to get COMPLETELY dereailed!
I like the cheesecake challenge idea. But I wouldn't call it cheesecake. I would specify it as pinup, because you know what we would all be 'voting' on....

Challenge Description : We must remember cheesecake is not pornography. While the photos contain mostly scantily clad women, the subjects of cheesecake are attractive people, not body parts nor sexual activity. Produce "provocative" not obscene. She may be coy, flirtatious or even seductive, but all such invitations are promises or hopes of the future and not yet fait accomplis.

using the word "cheesecake" at all is a bad idea.
remeber, a lot of the partcipants on this site are of my genration or younger/ or ESL individuals.
Cheesecake is cake make out of cheese to anyone but those of the generation, in the right country that used the term. It is pop slang that a lot of people simply won't understand and using slang as a challenge title will only serve as a platform for confusion for those who take it literally and as alienation for those like myself who are aware that it is slang but don't understand what would and would not count as "cheesecake" because it is beyond my day.
If you want a pinup challenge, call it that and save the DNMC heartache. |

Call it pinup if you will, but cheesecake as a genre is a little more selective than pinup. I'm lo0king for more of the classic cheesecake, not modern Playboy centerfolds.

using obscure titles makes it difficult for everyone.
Mind you, not many people would have the props, or correctly figured women to participate anyhow ;) |
