I have an opportunity to take pictures for a contractor, of his houses and condos. I have no idea what to charge. Can someone grace me with their wisdom and help but a poor newb?

That's going to depend on a few things.

First, your skill level in the area of photographing houses.

Second, how does the contractor intend to use the images? Does he intend to use them in print, on the internet, if in print, how many prints, what size, etc.

Third, is his business fairly profitable? Has it been around for a while, or is he just getting started? Someone who is just getting started isn't necessarily going to be able to throw a couple grand a project like this...whereas someone who has been doing this for quite some time and has a good bit of money saved up for advertising or what not may be able to throw a few grand at it.

I could see the prices for these, based on these questions ranging from a couple hundred dollars to tens of thousands...it all matters...we need more info.

Thanks for replying. Well, I did two houses for them already for a trial basis, they liked what they saw, and yes they have been around for 20 years and are very profitable, houses range from 200,000 to 500,000 and small condos. They want detailed stuff like fixtures, lights, etc. inside and out. They want them for the web and a digital album. They just want the total house on file.
