Sunday November 13 - the steelers don't play till 8:30 so ther eis nothing to do all day.

How about it?
A place...settlers cabin park? Pittsburgh Mills, that new mall? The Zoo?

I'm definately down for it. We just have to pick two things...one outside for if they weather is nice, and one inside if the weather is bad.

Either way...we definately gotta make this thing happen...probably early so Alan can go. My new polarizer should be in by then so I'm psyched to try it out...so outdoors and sunny would be great hehe.

indoors...a mall may not be too happy with us...perhaps alan can use his press creds and keep uo out of jail?

I know we play the browns - i did not look to see if it is a home game or not.

carnegie museum? Not great use of a PL, but macro shots maybe? Besides the Aviary and Phipps, what other interesting indoor places are there - Buhl Science center? Heinz history center might be good - i was there a couple of years ago. The point and if it rains, teh ft pitt musuem?

help me out here...

You know what we should really do...get like 6 of us together, get a model and a studio for the day, or something else like that.

Either way, for this Sunday, I'd say we should go somewhere decent, somewhere like with some nice wildlife and a stream and so on...or

Somewhere that there is a lot of people and stuff going on like downtown or E. Carson or something.

I can seriously walk up and down E. Carson for hours by myself ... it's a pretty entertaining place.

I wouldn't mind just walking around downtown to be honest...you know, one side to the next, maybe stop at or on a few bridges...etc.

Bump for those crazy people that are awake during the day and sleep at night.

I'd be a "maybe." We're heading to Erie for the weekend, and I'm not sure just when we'd be rolling back into town...

Amazing as it may seem, I am off on Saturday the 12th! So we can do sat or sunday, whatever works best for the most folks.

The downtown thing sounds good to me. I could go for some urban scenery.

You know what...I'd actually be up for a trip to the zoo if the weather is decent. My girlfriend is doing daycare currently (she's in school for her Master's degree), and wants some pictures of some animals for 'her' kids to decorate the rooms.

But whatever we decide on, I'm good with.

If we do the zoo i will 'have' to bring my son (nearly 5 and well behaved). I think my wife'd kill me if i didn't, or he'd have a fit. as long as it's not too cold...i am not putting up with a whiny child, even my own!

Last time i was at the zoo was , oh god, 3 years ago maybe. I was still using my 1mp camera! What a huge difference it would be now!

EDIT: Zoo hours: 9-4, admission $9 (ouch). I might leave junior at home afterall!

Saturday looks like 60 and partly cloudy -- Sunday looks like 63 and partly cloudy...can't complain, it's the middle of November...that's some awesome weather!

Hopefully the sun will peak through from time to time

Yep. we are going downtown as far as i know. if we go elswhere, which is quite possible, then oh well!

I PM'd our 'regular' crew and heard nothing...this may be a small outing. Fine with me, i need some adult conversation for a change.

sounds good. hey if it's just me and you, I have a 'friend' who gave me the hook-up if certain people are working the lion, tiger and the fox areas. He's a photog (I think you two would get along, he shoots Canon heh)...but anyway, we'll see what happens...I've heard good stories.

EDIT: he said WIDE ANGLE if you know what I mean. ;-)

So that means we feed you to the lion and take pix of it? Or he just gets to gnaw on your Nikon?

The weekend is tightening up for me...sat i have a senior pic shoot in beaver at 8:30. Should be over by 11. Pretty free after that. You're welcome to come along as this is a freebie (for strangers) for my portfolio and practice.

Sunday...I got an appt in the middle of the friggin day, but could move it up to 11 if that would be any good. I have to be in Chippewa at 1 to deliver wedding pics. Wedding was back at the end of august, and we've been missing each other for 3 weeks now. Again, you're welcome to come along - she was a co worker and nothing formal about the meeting (in a mcDonalds)

We don't have a zoo, but i can find ducks, people, trains, boats, and probably airplane (cessna kind). We have some kind of air musuem...could try and find out what that is about.

Living Treasures is just up the road a ways. Cheaper than the zoo - if their open in Novemeber..have to call and find out.

hrmm...I may head to the zoo with my girlfriend then on Sunday...or depending on what the sky's gonna look like may head toward the mountains, oh well...we'll get together one of these years ;-)

Thanks for the offer Chris on tagging along...I would probably take you up on that offer, but I'm assuming my polarizer is arriving tomorrow and I'm definately going to want to get out and play heh.

I have your number though, if things change I'll give you a ring.
