A mothers love
A mothers grief
A mothers joy
Was incomplete
A moments breath
Snatched away
Now laid to rest
A shallow grave
A child's gift
A gracious hand
A yellow rose
With beauty grand
She lays it softly
On the stone
A quiet rememberance
For life unknown
With an innocent wonder
Her memory keeps
A youthful ponder
Why baby sleeps

That's pretty good,
I must admit
Most poems I've read
sound like... um-- "Chit" :)
Nicely done, jsas. |

| jsas shared this with me earlier and I was really touched by it. Good stuff. It's great to see other areas of creative expression possessed by people on this site. |

I agree, and would add that, although I never met him, you bear a resemblence to Ernest Hemingway

You say I have Ernest eyes, hope I won't meet his demise.
Thank you, that is an honor.
