When you submit to micro stock sites what quality level do you save your jpgs at. Is is really necesary to save them at Q12. Myloupe asks you to save them at Q9. the difference between 9 and 12 is a VERY large size difference and makes a big difference with regard to space on the hard disk, and uploading time.

So my question is, what size do you save your jpgs at, and is it neccesary to save at Q12, or do you think you can see a differance.

I always save them at the highest quality level. Depending in the software you use, the numbers can be different -- in Photoshop v5.0 the quality scale only goes from 1-10.

The extra time it takes to upload is minor compared with re-uploading an image which has been rejected for quality issues or compression artifacts.

yeah, true enough, it is a big pain to have to re-upload.

any other opinions.
