Hurray!!
November the 4th shall forever (in my life) be referred to as CAMERA DAY!! As it is the day that my new DSLR arrived in the mail :-)
I chose the Konica Minolta Maxxum D5 and the battery is charging as we speak!!
I wanted to say thank you to all the people who gave me wonderful advice in my search for a DSLR. It really helped a ton and I can't express enough how grateful I am that the people here are so willing to be helpful!

OMG, that's totally true!!!! My husband is laughing at me cause I can't stop clapping my hands together like I'm 5 :-) Though he's also thinking about making me sign a contract stipulating the number of hours I can spend with my camera this weekend! I think he's jealous ;-) |

better change it in your profile!
Now get out and about, taking loads of shots and win a ribbon or two. On second thoughts, scrub the ribbon bit.
