I just bought a Nikon D70s and am hoping to pick up telephoto zoom shortly. I've heard from 2 sources that they've had problems with the 'Nikon AF Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6G'. Can anyone recommend a decent (and affordable) alternative that's worked well for them?

Thanks!

I've got the 70-300mm D ED and I love it. But it costs 2 times more. See the sigma ones if you're in a low budget.
