Does somebody have a Nikon RAW file from a recent SLR they can point me at? Any old pic is fine - I promise I am not going to distribute it ok :-)
I am playing around with Rawshooter Premium (I like it a lot so far) and am having troubles opening some older Nikon raw files that I should be able to open. It would help if I can confirm it's my install or the older files that are the issue. |

I am after a recent raw file not an oldie - I have them (possibly).
There was some recent conversations here but the software is here.
There is a free version with less features and the premium version has a 15 day trial.
Sorry: Never used the Adobe software.

Sorry - tried to upload an NEF, but it wouldn't take it in my portfolio. If you had an FTP site I could put one there. |

Thank you very much guys - got the files. Let me have a play around and see what I can see (as the blind man picked up the hammer and saw). |

Interesting - I can open the one from Andrew (D70) and yet cannot open the one from Jadin (D1X). That makes no sense to me yet - I am not up on Nikon stuff any more but I think the D1X is the older one right?
More digging I guess - At least it works great on my 20D RAW files which is all my stuff now :-) |

Odd... I only use Nikon Capture so far, but Jadin's D1X photo opens fine for me in that... |

D70 is a newer camera.
The file I gave you was Aug 2004 (I thought it was newer than that /shrug). Let me try a brand new one.

I cannot open the newer one from the D1X either.
I have a Nikon neg/slide scanner, so for giggles I tried to open the D1X files in that. Got a message that indicates the colour space is not supported but that is possibly a red herring.
Thanks for the help - I think I will check with the vendor and may even have to resort to RTFM :-) |
