Last week, I used my Sigma 70-300 APO Super Macro II and it worked just like it always does. This weekend, when I went to use it, every time I used auto focus, it makes a squeaking sound. It only makes the noise during a big adjustment, like from macro to infinity. I originally thought something maybe got into the lens, or some sort of liquid dried up inside of it, but it works fine on manual. I know its an auto-focus motor problem. What I'm wondering is if something similar has ever happened to anybody else and how I should go about trying to get it fixed. The closest camera store by me that I would trust to clean anything would be B&H, Adorama, or Calumet all in NYC. Should I contact one of them first, or first try talking to Sigma?
