Maybe I'm drawn to odd images, but out of all the photographs I shot with Jess the other day two of my favorites may not even be considerede acceptable by most people. I'm curious to see how others will react?

the first one has blown highlights on her right side. the second is interesting, and better exposed - framed too tight on the bottom though.

I realize the dress has blown highlights, but in this case I tried to let them go in a controlled fashion. I have other images where fill from flash was used to provide a better exposure, but the feel of the room at that point in time was gone. The light reminded me of a typical bring day in the midwest... highlights blown out even to the naked eye and subtle details showing up in the shadows.
I was curious what other would see and I think you have answered my question. |

I personally think they are both gorgeous! I lov ethe pose in the second one, and I like the lighting overall in both of them. It gives them depth and form. Very nice! Pretty model too. She looks very comfortable.

That second one is just tickety boo, the look, the pose, the lighting.
I can see where it's cropped too tight and it is noticable, hard to say how it would look if it wasn't cropped so tight since you'd have to expand both sides of the shot.
Really nice photo there. |
