I use to love this guys stuff. Well here in Australia I have been following the career of a band called powderfinger (named after a Neil Young song).Powderfinger

Anyway the lead singer Bernard Fanning has just released a solo album it is amazing how similiar he is to Neil Young it's such a deja vu experince for me I thought I would share.

Have a listen to his new song wish you well from his web site.

Just had to give the view from a unbiased fan, I obviously love his music, see what you think.

I'll check it out -- I know most of Young's early stuff and some of the more recent. I just quoted one of his songs in one of the other recent threads -- probably the one about songs which make you cry..

Saw Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young as part of a weekend concert at the Clevlend Indians Baseball Stadium in the early '70's (maybe '73).

I'm sure a lot of people are old enough to remember Neil, but for some reason that era seems... "hazy" to them. ;-)

Great artist. Better in solo than a group in my opinion, but love him with Crosby, Stills and Nash. Not a huge Buffalo Springfield fan, but "For what it's worth" is a great song.

Yeah, but it was written by Stephen Stills : )

But Neil made up for the gap by writing Ohio and Rockin' In The Free World
