Just got this email, which scared me for a moment.

I almost logged into it before I realized it must be a 'scam'. Called Pay Pal, and sure enough, it is. I was instructed to forward it to spoof@paypal.com.

Anybody else gotten one of these?

no I have not gotten that one, thanks for the heads up. but I do get some that look like your monthly invoice with a small amount (usually between $4 and $15) saying to click the link to pay it. Funny thing is I get them on email accounts that I dont have linked to ebay or paypal.

NEVER CLICK A LINK in a paypal or ebay email, logon the normal way you do and check your account that way.

I get a lot of spoof paypal and ebay 'please log in to check your account' type emails.

Although the one you posted there is very convincing. Thanks for the warning.

I always like to think if you're stupid enough to fall for something like this, you deserve whatever comes to you :) But then i'm a dirty great misanthropist anyway so best ignore me

Old news. If it doesn't have your name on it, and it doesn't, it is a mass email sent in an atempt to phish.

It did have my name on it. I left it out in my cut and paste.

This is the best advice and the easiest way to make sure you never fall for a 'scam'.
