Do you want to look cool or do you want your pics to look cool?

I can't help you with the former, for that you need a stylist or something.

For the latter, you need a lightsphere II. You can probably cobble something together with a CoolWhip bowl and some duct tape, but unless you're Red Green, it will look even more lame.

Spaz,

Thanks for your humor. When I photograph weddings, I like to remain inconspicuous. So, if there were an option that worked well and didn't look lame, I would certainly choose it over one worked well and did look lame.

You're the wedding photographer, not the wedding ninja. You're already carrying around a big camera setup with a big flash that emits a bright flash of light everytime you press the shutter. Face it, you're gonna stick out regardless of what diffuser you have so you might as well get the one that works best.

Very true. Lol at the ninja part. This isn't the best example and the mirror was dirty there so it flared a bit (only my profile pic, don't have the full-size here):

Don't forget the Flip-it! adjustable on-camera flash reflector system...

Again, thanks Spaz for your very clever humor. I try to use flash as little as possible at weddings and I do blend in quite well. That's actually the goal of a photojournalistic wedding photographer. If the subjects see you, then its not quite capturing things as they are. if you'd like to read up on PJ wedding photography, I can suggest some books for you.
