The entry previously in 17th place has been disqualified as it was a stitched shot consisting of 7 photos. Congrats to everyone who moves up a place!

Is it a common action for a SC to post a dq like this? and if so could you please post all dq'ed photos? Fair is fair.......

Yes, check the admin announcement section. Every change is announced. And every DQed photo is posted at the end of every challenge.

Yes they are. Is that always followed by someone posting the photo?

If they want to. That has nothing to do with the SC.

Of choices she has made that some consider "poor", I believe :-)

well, it actually wasn't her choice. Someone else decided they would take the already publicly disclosed DQ and post a thumbnail link here for convenience.

Yes and that was what I was referring to. There is no need to post the photo that was dq'ed, in this thread. It might be useful to review this practice of posting dq's in this manner and on these forums? and I am not talking about the posting of the photo............

10/30/2005 06:39:40 PM · #22
what's the problem with it? Anyone coulda browsed and found what the picture was anyway...if anything he got some views, and a few nice comments out of it.

DQ's are public so everyone can learn from them and it helps with rules interpretation. This isn't a witch-hunt and no one has said a DQ'd photographer is a bad evil person. Most cases, it was an honest mistake. There is no "practice" to review and nothing here to discuss in my personal opinion. I think you're being overly sensitive to something that is clearly a non-issue. If you get DQ'd and wish your photo to be hidden and not discussed, then either don't enter in the first place, or email the site administrators. Other than that, I agree with previous posters in being a bit puzzled as to why you're feeling upset.

Here we have learned that you can't put together many photos to make an entry. What harm do you see? I see none.

oh, get over it. i eliminated the 4 or 5 clicks it would have taken for someone to see the image.

...because it, the dq, becomes more significant than the challenge....
