Up until two days ago I was a Customer Support. Handling company returns and doing all in house reports in Excel & Access. Even developed a few databases for them. But left that job. Officially Monday I am a Lab Technician for a tire manufacturer. Remember I am testing the material that goes on your tires. That sounds very important.

Job I would like: Animator. I used to spend a lot pf time drawing cartoon characters and would really love to have the time to do that again.

What I would like to do is food photography.

Well I have like three titles basically they do all the same thing where I work. I am a creative art director/production manager/graphic designer. I love it had this new job for over a month now very very happy. I design books and magazines for eyeglass company and the eyeglass manufactures. But its cool, I get to photograph also they already have camera equipment and a studio, I sometimes use my camera too. I have too photograph the eyeglasses and do some photoshop work or trace them in illustrator. Just tons and tons of work..... wow its alot compared to my last job but I love it.

The long version...
I've recently (this week, LOL) started a new job as a staff process engineer for Plexus in Neenah, WI. I do materials science work in the electronics assembly area, and am a mechanical engineer by training. I've been in electronics all my working life, since 1978. I've worked for a medical electronics company, an industrial controls manufacturer, an electronics materials supplier, and my new employer, an "EMS" (Electronics Manufacturing Services) contract manufacturer.

The short version...
My coworkers invariably come to know me as "the super-geek." Still not sure if it's a compliment ;-)

Diagnostic radiologist.
I spend my time at work manipulating CT scans on the workstation, to create 3D rendered images of patients and their disease processes, from which I (try to) make the diagnosis, for the referring physicians.

It's not too unlike digital photography, which is giving me an appreciation of the visual side of things.
Radiology for me though, like many sides of medicine, and other occupations I'm sure, is recently often overtaken by issues of greed, ego and other political agendas, which detract from what is otherwise a very rewarding profession.
I'm also a husband, father of two lovely girls, amateur gardener, and occasional cyclist.
I'm a brand newbie on this site, and am having such fun learning from all of you, and experimenting with the creation of images.

Right now, I'd like to be a journalist for Lonely Planet, travelling and photographing the places of the world.

Currently in IT Programme Managing a number of large projects. Oh yes, and a bit of technical architecture thrown in.

Ideal job: cricket commentator / pundit travelling the cricket world sounding oh so important; and having the chance to take pictures in places like the Caribbean, India, Pakistan, New Zealand (and England and Australia if forced to ...)

I'm a software developer who at the moment is doing more support and maintenance work than anything (yep, very exciting, I know). But I also started my own company recently, and I'm hoping that someday I can work for myself. My company at the moment is a web hosting reseller, but when I have the time, I want to delve more into graphics design, both for the web and print. I do a lot of dabbling in Photoshop, but I definitely have a lot to learn. I also would like to incorporate photography and perhaps photo retouching into my business, too.

I am a student working on my undergrad degree in biology with a concentration in cellular/physiology. What do I want to do with that? I want to be a dentist. (December first is the big day for anyone applying to dental school in the US, so keep your fingers crossed for me.)

If I could do anything I would be a rock star for a couple years, then go back to dentistry.

I'm a EDA (Electronics Design Automation) Tool manager
also doubling as a IT manager

i would rather be doing something that is creative (my job is painfully dull at times)

I'm a Radiographer working in the Emergency Department at Marquette General Hospital - the only trauma center in the Upper Peninsula.
If I could be anyting else it would be an EMT or Paramedic

Sinky: wish you were around here....had a Cardiac CT done a couple days ago and am still waiting for the Radiologist to read it and get back with me.

I am an Ultrasound Tech.

I'd like to sometime be able to shoot photography for a living. That will probably happen after I retire or win the lottery. :)
