Hey Pugs,

Are you sure your headaches are caused by your nitro? Could be caused by hour high bp...and I think I remember you saying you had beta-blockers? If so, that actually may help control not just your bp but the headaches as well...or is it hangover? No judgement here, just concern :)

PS-

hope you feel better soon.

yep - no headache until I put the nitro patch on. I have not put it on today and my head feels fine - no headache. Just chest pain again and a burning sensation with each breath. This is what has been going on for the past week at an escalated level. Have had low level chest tightness and burning sensations with exertion for about a year now. The beta-blocker was just started after the questionable heart attack I had on the 18th, but did not get seen by a doctor until 4 days later. I have no insurance until November 1st, so I tried ignoring it. Unfortunately it won't clear up as it has in the past. Still waiting for the doc to call me with my CT results. He said he would call me yesterday afternoon or today some time.

For some natural help you might try Pom Wonderful Pomegranate juice. My husband has heart disease and had a six-way bypass 5 years ago. The doctors had him on all kind of meds that were giving him headaches and leg cramps. After doing some research online I ran across some articles about the wonderful healing power of pomegranite juice. My husband has been drinking it for about 7 months now and feels better than ever. It has helped lower his cholesterol by about 25 points, completely eliminated his leg cramps and the headaches are now few and far between. Go to //www.pomwonderful.com for information.

what are you trying to say?

Drinking excessive alcohol for therapeutic reasons???

okay - since excessive alcohol did not really do the trick, today I tried the opposite, a healthy 2 mile hike through Presque Isle. The result - after a 15 minute rest period: BP 201/143 HR 84 , got nauseous again, and had chest pain start back up. Ugh. Have been resting at home now for almost three hours and BP keeps falling lower and lower...lower than it has been in over a year. Right now I'm at 104/57 HR 82 and still have the nausea and chest pain (although chest pain is lessening)
The doc who was to have read my Cardiac CT today, never went in, so I have no idea how it turned out. This doc is on family leave right now, but was doing me a favor as I have no insurance thus he is not charging me. I hope he goes in tomorrow long enough to read my CT.

Great news! CT was fine. Doc feels might be respiratory problems causing all the chest pain and shortnes of breath. No idea why the BP and HR are too high, but not worried now. Off to do more hiking before working tonight.
