lol who's sleeping?

howd you do that chart thingy?
10/28/2005 12:58:19 AM · #108
alcohol is a diuretic. it's entirely possible that as pug gets dehydrated her BP decreases. that'd explain the diastolic drop fo sho (the lower number). The heartrate thing is most likely stress. the more you drink, the less you give a shit about your tests tomorrow. :P

sadly it's temporary.

10/28/2005 01:08:22 AM · #109
145/93 is actually a bit high. Should be around 120/80 and depending on whether or not you have any comorbid disease states, your bp goal may need to be even lower than that.

and as far as heart rate, pretty much anywhere below 100 bpm is normal at resting state. but remember that normal is different for everyone.

:)

Nice chart, Conglett!

I dunno about that - what time does the liquor store open? ;-)

conglett - submit that chart to the New England Journal of Medicine and get yourself & shutterpug a Nobel prize!

I see there were a few posts after I entered Maragaritaville's Dreamworld.

My blood pressure has been running high for the last few months now - phatphoto is correct it should be lower. Where I've been running is considered borderline hypertensive which is why they have me taking a betablocker.
Heart rates can increase when stressed, unfortunately mine is too high all the time. When chilled out as I was last night, it stays in the 80's and 90's, when excersizing or exerting myself it goes up top around 120. According to the doc, someone of my height, weight, and age the heart rate should be mid 50's to mid-60's.

Conglett - loved the chart - gues I canit prove to the ER doc that we (Jose and I) accomplished much though.

Suemack I LOVE that pug!!! Thanks for sending such a cool shot my way.

Amazingly, I woke up around 7:45 a.m. still a bit buzzed, but no headache. That is the most wonderful thing about Jose Cuervo, the next day is never that bad. If it gets bad, I saved enough in the bottle fo one more drink. ;-)

The hangover hasn't kicked in yet. Let us know when it does...

This thread was a bit like watching the Abyss movie, y'know, where Bruce Willis went down real deep and started typing funny words.

Interesting, I might drink a bottle or two tonight (with salt and lemon) to see how I feel in the morning.

Tonight??? Hell, I started last night and I'm still going strong. I'm just about to leave to go for more at a friends place.

edit: "my advice to you is to start drinking heavily" name that movie?

damn - all effects of Jose are done and over. BP is back to 150/84 with a heart rate of 91. Hell all I'm doing is sitting at my computer - not even exerting myself. My chest pain is back to about a 3-4 on a scale of 1-10, 10 being worst. I did take one of my dogs for a long walk about an hour ago but that should not be enough to cause all these crap. I so bummed. I am NOT putting on that damn nitro patch - it gives me killer headaches! The tequila was nicer than nitro is. I guess I'll have to take the high bp meds though they make me light-headed. errrrr
