My friend had an experience almost precisely like what you just described with DigitalPhoto.com. Only they did eventually send him "substitutions" for his order (knock-off lenses) which he then had to return. Took MONTHS to clear it up. Their Better Business reports have tons of complaints. I wouldn't use them.

yet in the forums its the canons and nikons that people are sayign are failing... red light of death etc

i'm not a big minolta fan. i sold cameras for over 10 years and the minoltas let me down alot. it's not cool to repeatedly have a product slammed down on the counter because it failed at a wedding or communion.
i would buy the nikon, even though i'm a big canon fan.. but something about that D50 drives me wild. |
