Whose got one bigger than 13 inches wide (ie bigger than the 2200, 1800, 2400)? What do you think? Do you use the big size a lot? Does it take a ton of ink? Does the paper cost a fortune? Or... is it a must get - in which case I'll let my wife know right away!

Thanks!

I have the R1800, but haven't had it long enough to play around. What I have made is beautiful though. 13" is actually the widest...if you want panos you buy paper on a roll and then you can get 13"x44"...

I have a professional Epson proofer at work which goes to either 48" or 54", although I think we only have 24" paper.

I've never used it for printing photos though, it's used for creating proofs for offset printing. A replacement set of the large-size cartridges (7-color) runs about $875.

If you need a big print, I could try and get a price for you. I think the preferred format is uncompressed RGB TIFF, probably either 360 or 720 dpi.

A shop which does this professionally is Cantoo in Berkeley.

I pretty much have all my photos printed to Fuji or Noritsu photo imagers.
