I am at the other end of the spectrum... I have 5 of my top 7 scores in the last couple of months. I seemed to have turned a corner on the creativity scale. Honestly, I am not sure that there were any conscience decisions to do so, just a bit more thought put into my images.
That being said, it seems that making yourself enter ever challenge will put alot of pressure on yourself and probably be a negative. Just my 2 cents:)

an awesome conversation ... and i thank everyone for their input.
If nothing else, this exercise will force me to shoot something (which I haven't done much). This site is just a game, and if treated as such - losing shouldn't matter all that much. And on the other side, attempting to win doesn't mean I've sold my soul to please the masses. We're just playing a game.

Ok Kris,
I'm with you!
It's been over 8 months since I last entered a challenge, although I do keep an eye on what is going on, I feel that my style has changed a bit and I've no ideas what the voters will think of my pics - but that's secondary.
I've started shooting on film as well as digital and also joined a local photographic society, in my first round of contests I managed to get a 'Highly Commended' and also my first piece of silverware by winning the 'President's Award' - so I don't need the voters on here to like me (although it would be nice if they did) :)

Seems I can't do it. I couldn't come up with anything for this past Sunday's challenge ... and I got nothing for tonight.
Competing in EVERY challenge is hard :(
Oh well, no more bold proclamations for Hopper :) ... and I'll still be looking to get one more ribbon before the end of the year, but my optimism is fading. |

Well...I would try to enter each but feel I would fail miserably. The current two challenges...camouflage and cheater are my two highest to date. 6.15 in camo and 5.17 in cheater.
I'll post my "idea" for the "even" challenge after midnight. It seemed like a great and different idea but I couldn't pull it off "photographically". So to try and make each one would be stressfull and a downer for me!
I'll enter a few more before the end of the year though.
