OMG...Palmetto_Pixels shot himself!!!

It's true... quite a shocker!!! I finally stepped on the other side of the lens (kind of).

I finally did it. I'm home with my sick son today and decided to do a few self-portraits. I've never really liked having my picture taken so I did something kind of dark and noisy. I broke out the ole black light (again) and shot myself a few times. Help me pick one for a portfolio shot. And as always, feel free to comment on them (good or bad). Thanks guys!

I love the ideas and the creepyness but you do know it would have been more effective without the camera? Though it does give an edge I guess.

Yeah, I did think of doing it without the camera, but then I thought... I'm supposed to be a photographer (at least I pretend to be one) so why not include that part of "myself" in the self-portrait.

Edit: Besides it was easier to set the focus on the camera in the mirror, then shoot the timed exposure once I was in place. ;-)

If by "portfolio picture" you mean a small one for your profile, only #2 will show any recognizable detail at that size. Otherwise #4 works for me.

Good point. These are not final croppings. I will, of course, have to crop a little differently to show the detail.

Ok the pictures dont correspond with the nmbers you have typed above the thumbnails!!! I like the forth one that you posted the best, looking at the actual file it is Version 1 but on your post it ismarked version 4
