I have had photography for a hobby for a long time. I have a Cannon Elan IIE right now and have enjoyed using this SLR for many years. I have been using a Cannon Powershot S200 now for about 6 months. I noticed I dont pick up my SLR anymore. I am considering going all digital. These are some of my concerns, Can I get different lenses for my camera? Like for my SLR I have a closeup and portrait a wide angle etc. What is a DSLR? Do digital camera's have the same quality as a SLR? Thanks in advance!

There have been a few threads on this lately. I suggest you go to the main Forums page (link under the Community Menu) and run searches for SLR and LENS -- that should pop up a list of threads containing those terms, most recent first.

Many members also research specific equipment at dpreview.com

As a quick answer, I would say that before too long you'll find that DSLR cameras are as popular as SLRs. Yep, you can use your regular lenses, too! That's what was so appealing to me about getting the D100... I have a Nikon N6006 and a few lenses for it, and they all work well with the new digital camera. Many people would argue that the digital SLR (that's all that "DSLR" means) cameras are quite comparable to their film counterparts.
