always seems to happen like that too. we have a way too friendly black bear who has been in the yard alot here lately( when Im at my putter that is) and as soon as I notice him out there and grab my camera,run to the door, he takes off like a bullet! very few shots of him so far but Im patient...one day i will capture him in the perfect light with the perfect pose(and no garbage!)

dum-dum. There's a new medical procedure that will graft your 20D to your right hand; you might consider that. Changing lenses can be a bitch though...

Why? Stupidity. I should know by now because every single time I leave it at home, I see the CAREER SHOT! It's Murphy's law, I guess.

that whole "career shot" (lol) thing happened to me too - except I had my camera WITH me... I had the whole shot set up perfect with this moose by a stream - somebody drove by and honked - scared him off and I dropped my camera in the mud.

That's awful! Some people...
They like to honk at golfers, too. Right in the middle of their backswing. What's dangerous, though is when you're on a horse. I really don't think people understand how flighty a horse can be. Or else they just don't care, I guess.

hmmm, I've never played golf on horseback before...sounds kind of like polo :-P
