A while ago, there was some discussion of whether tangible prizes should be given out to the winners of challenges, which I disagreed with - the recognition is really a prize in itself. But, with the print site running smoothly (and some pretty gorgeous prints being produced which put my older injet to shame), maybe it's time to reconsider this. Something along the lines of: first place winner gets a free 8x10, second and third get a discounted price on a print...minor, but nice nonetheless.

"Prize" may not be the best term for this; it would be more of a perk of winning than an incentive to compete. And I'm also not implying that any of us "deserve" something more than what we already have. $25 a year is paltry, and the resources here are pretty remarkable. As long as we have wish lists for prints, though, this is my "wish list" entry for challenges. Thoughts?
