A neighbor raises pheasants and called today to tell me he had some sort of owl inside a pen that killed a bunch of birds. I grabbed my camera and went over there, and found this little cutie pie in the corner of the pen.
Not often you see an immature Great Horned Owl in my neck of the woods, so I was pretty thrilled. We used to rehabilitate injured and orphaned raptors, birds and animals when I was growing up so I knew what do to.
5 minutes later I'd caught him and released him back into the woods. 15 decapitated pheasants, but all in all a super-cool experience. |

Another happy and full owl doing what owls do!! I'm sure it was most thankful for your kindness.
