It doesn't say what color temperature the light emitted is, but it certainly sounds like lighting for photography will enter a whole new era.

though the key phrase is

interesting.
I would think it will be quite a while before they are used in photography (flashes). But, maybe not so far off for ambient/supplemental lighting.
I'll remember this when I see a camera with a white balance option of 'quantum' :-) |

I was also thinking in terms of how it might change composition and other aspects of photography if, for instance, you can coat an entire wall or ceiling with this stuff. Could get weird ;)

It could be like that translucent concrete wall.
