:-).

Taking some pics at a road cycle race this evening, and wanted to get an angle with the cyclists and a roadsign in the frame on a corner.

A couple of lapped single cyclists came around the corner and from those quick shots I figured I'd have to stand in the middle of the road...

Seemed like a good idea at the time. Until the two faster bunches came through.

Animated gif (800k).

This is all the frames I shot on the corner...

Next time I'll stand further back, and use a bigger lens!!!

Cheers, Me.

Hahaha....I've seen things like this before! Luckily you weren't on the front end of a bike at some stage there! Then again, I've seen worse with photographers standing in front of race cars etc who come off a little bit worse!! Thanks for sharing!

EDIT: I'm curious to know if you copped any abuse for standing there?

Like Makka said....lucky it wasn't race cars!! That guy in green in the lead in the 2nd bunch ...don't know if he even realised you were there!!

Forgot to say... I did get one useable shot for the paper as well.. Have to do a little work on it though, it was a shadowy spot..

And I was expecting some abuse, but all I got was 'Cheers' from one of the guys as he went past...

I was a fair distance from the corner, so they all saw me well before they got to me but when I realised they were heading straight for me I got a little worried!
