Okay, working on business cards and I want to use my bug on the cards, rather like my mascot type thing, ya know?
Anyhow, I want to use this shot but everytime I try to seperate him from the black background or just turn the background white I get the horrible pasted look around the edges. My brain won't work for some reason, I know there's a way around this, help?

I tried PMing Kpriest but he's offline right now |

Reason most people use blue or green is that it's easier to separate. What program are you using? |

I have photo shop 7.0
This wouldn't have done as well with blue or green now, would it have? :)

But you just reminded me what I might be doing wrong |

I don't know how that particular photo is going to look on white with PS. Is that puppy yours? Maybe a reshoot ON a white background.

Yeah, he's mine ;)
I could do that, his hair is shorter now and I just gave him a flea treatment so he's a little greasy too :(

Go into Filter>Extract(Near the top) and you should be able to separate him from the background. The fur is tough so you have to go really slow. Zoom in tight.

Program called "Knock Out " can also help. |
