Now that the challenge is over, I can show my "Lexi Series" the way I intended it to be seen (as a set). And I promise not to dress my dog again any time soon, well maybe for Halloween! lol

Great work, have you thought of doing a calendar? Dressed up for each month, Lexi would be adorable!

You are like the Anne Geddes of pooches.

I second the Calendar Idea.

I tell ya what....you should look at making cards of her. I was just at BAMM this weekend and there was a whole section of this bulldog on cards...dressed up with funny sayings!! Have you ever seen that black/tan wiener dog series of cards? They are awesome!!

Thanks guys. I'm not sure about a calendar, love the idea, but not sure Lexi would like 9 more of these shoots. Each takes a good deal of time to get just right. But hey, its a goal! :) I actually did shoot these with greeting cards in mind.

Hey Jodi

Is that your dog? He/she looks so similar to ours but ours is of mixed and uncertain parentage. What breed is yours?
10/17/2005 08:38:22 PM · #13

I called it in the challenge, LOL! That poor dog!

Deannda
Wish my dog would sit for being dressed up

:) yeah, Deannda, you spotted her! Your Lexy is adorable too, Jealajo, just lots and lots bigger!!

My Lexi doesn't LOVE the studio, but she tolerates it because she wants to be where I am. Treats help! So does patience, loads and loads of patience!

Your Lexi is a long haired minature dacshund is she??? She is a cutie and yes alot smaller. Im lucky that my lexy is a real show off but my boy Leo wont even look at a camera unless im almost balancing a treat on the end of the lens...lol
I have got some funny pics of him dressed up though but they were taken with a little pissy camera before i had this one.

That's right, mini long-haired dachshund. Not as mini these days, she's getting chubby on all the treats! I so know what you mean about Leo, I can't get a shot of my cat without chasing her around the house for 2 hours with the camera first. She's shy! lol

I like pet shots though, the challenge is kinda like a chinese fire drill so it feels even better when one comes out well. I have a zillion bad-pet-shots to prove it!

Here's our dog. He's called Riley and he came from a shelter. You can see almost any breed you like in him! The ears are somewhat clipped compared to the luscious ones of your ridgeback!

Definately some ridgeback in Riley i would say...i could spot it a mile off lol, does he have any signs of a ridge on his back?
