Which profile (and where can I get it) is best to use with the 300D and Neat Image? I know the Neat Image web site has some profiles on there but I don't really know what the difference is between them. Which profiles do most people here use?

The ones for your camera on the Neat Image website should work fine. Or you can download and print out their calibration target, and then create profiles with your own camera. It's a lot easier than it sounds, just follow the instructions on the NI website.

I've used Neat Image for a while, and often like to select my own profile from the image itself, just find a nice neutral color area that's out of focus and contains no pattern (concrete walls work great). There is usually a spot like this somewhere in the image, just select it at least until NI says you have a big enough sample. then go ahead and continue from there. I find this to let you maintain much more detail than generic NI profiles available on their site, but ymmv.
