I got a lot of questions about this lion shot, about whether it was a stuffed animal...

I was wondering that today. For burst mode shots like that, does the mirror flip for each of them, or is it just the shutter?

The mirror, you should hear what 8.5 FPS sounds like.

The mirror flips up otherwise you wouldn't be able to follow the action.

I saw that shot in the previous thread. It is a phenomenal capture! Almost surrealistic.

At 510 shots per minute, a machine gun isn't a bad analogy. That's quite a collection of equipment you have there, drnick.

What doc didn't tell ya is that he actually shot a 9 frame sequence and Slippy emailed me the missing frame...
