Okay, so I found this old pic we have, and decided to edit it a tad. It was taken at the Mauna Kea observatories, at sunset.
Here's the original:
My 1st edit:
and my 2nd edit:
Now, my question is: Which edit do you prefer? I want to enter it into a photo contest, so opinions are appreciated!

I like the second one. For me, it has more of a "power of nature" look to it. Very nice. |

The summit of Mauna Kea is one of the places high on my list of "must dos." I actually like your original better than either of the edits. The clouds look a little too contrasty to me in both edits. You've also lost most of the blue sky. |

I like the first one best, myself. I think the greater contrast in the clouds and the even orange shading of the sky works nicely with your photograph.
Edit: oh no... three conflicting viewpoints. : )

I like the first edit. The original is good too but I think it would have needed to be brighter and bluer. The first edit makes the most of the photo in my opinion. |

The original except for the clouds at the top right. Don't silhouette the foreground. The minor detail really adds to the understanding of what we are seeing. Sweet place though.

I like the original because it looks the most natural to me, and brings out the idea of heaven very well.
You're so lucky to live in Hawaii! |

The original is better than either edit. You might be able ti improve on the original, but keep the nice, muted blues as you go about it. I don't like the green shift at all in the sky.
