I finally got the bright idea to see what kind of info they had at the local library re: Photoshop. I got the book "Photoshop Elements 2 Solutions (the art of digital photography)" by Mikkel Aaland. I'm going to play around with it tonight and see what I can learn. Elements 2 is what I have, so it should apply 100%. :)

I'm usually more of a "show me" learner, so we'll see if his directions make any sense! It's about 300 pages, has a cover price of $40 (USD) and also comes with a CD. I'll let ya know how it goes!

Sure beats shelling out $40 for something before you really know if it will be used. I doubt I'll buy a copy of this, but if I learn a thing or two, it will be great!

Search results for "photoshop" at the San Francisco Public Library (sfpl.org) 187 titles returned.

And, even if you live in a community with a small library, your library most likely belongs to a group of libraries that cooperate by sharing resources. In my area there are 42 libraries spread over 4 counties--if I see a title I want I can place a hold on a book and my local library will let me know when it comes in from the other library (this is known as "interlibrary loan" in library lingo). You may be limited to a 3 week loan and no renewal on the book, but it is a great way to read for free!
