There's got to be some great reflections in all those puddles! ;^)

There would be great refelctions if there were any LIGHT... It's been raining ever since "wide angle" was announced; the perfect challenge for me and I can't even get out of the house, nor is there any prospect of doing so until Sunday morning...

Nope, no rain here and I'm in Northern New Hampshire. It's SUPPOSED to rain though. Doesn't look like it. Sorry.
They've actually asked the local fire departments if they could send some crews down south with pumps to help pump out all the flooding. I'd have gone, but ....
On one hand I can go south and help out my fellow man for $8.50 per hour.
On the other hand I could stay here and work for $10.75 and $17 an hour.
I'm going to be greedy and stay here and earn lots of money.
PS.. Some other guys from the department went, so it's all good. |

I don't mind the wet weather as much as not having weather proof equipment. I would love to do photography in this kind of weather. Dark, moody, foggy shots. |

The Wide Angle challenge it too good to pass up. I haven't entered a challenge yet with my 12-24mm lens and this is the perfect opportunity. Raining or not, I'm going to go out and take a picture of something tomorrow morning! |

Getting some much needed rain here in upstate NY. We had a very dry summer. The rain is refueling the waterfalls too, which is a good thing.
I just returned from Maine (Bar Harbor and the southern coast) and the damage from the heavy rain was evident. Many ditches were widened and driveways washed out. Several roads closed as well. Lots of road crews busy fixing the mess...but more rain expected there in the coming days too.
In Mass. there were quite a few areas of two lanes down to one, that I assume was from the flooding. It was quite dark and foggy so couldn't tell for sure.
No damage here in upstate NY that I know of.

Wish we could take some of your rain here in Texas. It so dry here it's awful. We are trying to sell a house which is on a 5 acre lake/pond and if we don't get some rain we're going to have to change our advertisement that it's on a lake. :)
I hope no one here lives where all the really bad flooding is. |

Yup, it's been raining nonstop here in Pennsylvania. I'm looking forward to going to a fall festival tomorrow to get some photos and I'm really hoping for decent weather. I'm sick of the rain. :( |

I'm close to the bad flooding in NH, And most of my friends and family are in the Keene area. Wanted to go take pictures, but I couldnt get into Keene at all.
Its bad, but its mostly media hype. Everyone up here thinks its kinda funny we made CNN. Of course, New Englanders can chew iron rods and spit nails, so we dont consider it a big deal...lol |

It's been very depressing. I had four days off straight last weekend and spent most of it indoors watching TV. |

Awwwwwwwwwwwww... it's raining..... Poor babies. Let's look at this from a northerner's perspective. Oh yes... we don't have to shovel rain, so that makes rain.........mmmmmmmmm much better than snow.
I do feel for you since I had hoped to venture forth to the hills and get some fall colour shots, but guess what.......... it's raining... hehehehehehe.
Robert.... if your guests bring wine... make sure to check the freezer before the end of the evening....hehehe.
Have a great day all......... I am bringing my slicker, umbrella and stuff and I am off........ see you all later.

I stayed up all night watching F1 and when I woke up this morning in beautiful NJ there was something really bright and circular in the sky. Seems to be giving off heat as well.
Any ideas?? |
