I will be doing a shoot soon with a couple who want to take nude portraits together and would love any suggestions that you guys have for books or even web sites that suggest the best poses and offer other advice for this kind of shoot. I've found several books, but would like to know if anyone recommends any in particular.
And before you ask, no, I won't be posting the results of the shoot here - they're for the couple only. Unless someone suggests a really great book for me. ;-) Thanks!

I have a Kodak series book called 'The art of portraits and the nude' but it doesn't really have much on posing couples I'm afraid!

I've seen some great nude couple poses on deviantart in the past. Search around on deviantart, I'm sure you'll stumble accross some.

Visit naturist sites like this one.
Remember that being nude is really what's natural, clothing is culturally imposed!! So just focus on the couple as the subject and not on their nakedness.

I've got some "photography" magazines that feature this sort of thing..... |

Thanks, everyone, espcially for your kind offer to assist, Rikki. ;-) I do plan on treating this like just another couple portrait, except that they want it to be sexy and they want to be naked, so I need to be sure to incorporate poses that will give them the best shots with that in mind.
I'm sure my own vague recollections of some of the aforementioned magazine will help , but I also wanted to see if anyone can recommend any books written about this kind of photography. Any thoughts?

I gave the photobook Couples to my girlfriend for her birthday. Lots of sexy B&W photos, without being vulgar.
If you do a google search on this book I think you should be able to find some example photos from the book.

Thanks, gloda - that looks like a great book. I can't believe my searches hadn't turned up that one yet!
If anyone else has additional suggestions, I'd love to hear them as well.

Don't know if you plan on doing something as racey as what David Steinberg photographs, but this book should give you lots of great ideas. I heard a radio interview with him a couple of years ago and he takes his art very seriously. Nothing pornographic, just fine art sexual photography.
Enjoy :) |

Aside from the poses you want to get the feeling of there love and passion for each other in a soft sensual romantic kind of way, i have done shots like this for a couple a few times now and i always play there favourite song, usually works a treat, gives that extra glint in the eyes of true love. Actually i use music alot with my shoots as it sure shows emotions and relaxes the client. I sketch and draw female nudes so an art book of poses would be a good step also. Nothing beats a loving gaze of a couple in love. Good luck and have fun.

Just to add A white feather is a good addition, gets the girl smiling, gets the in love kinda smile. If he tickles her leg or back with it, you can include in the photos or not.
