I know that many of us would answer that we'd like to spend most of our waking hours doing photography (and some of you do!) - but I was curious, how many hours per week do you spend on photography?

Include all time related to making pictures (e.g., set-up time, taking pictures, post-processing, etc.). Do not include "business" related hours, like time spent "marketing/selling" your pictures.

Just curious. Personally, I get about 3-5 hours/week dedicated to my hobby. (Sad, I know.)

Wow, maybe an hour? Most of my shooting is done while I'm out doing other things.

Not nearly as much as I'd like to. :o)

ed- okay I'll give myself an hour a day. 7/week, maybe more.

Does this include time spent dodging about on DPC? I'm in trouble....

More than I work for money that is for sure.

Nah, let's not include DPC surfing, that would just over-inflate the numbers. Besides, half the time I'm surfing DPC, I'm also sitting in on an incredibly boring audioconference at work - so how would I log those hours? Too confusing.... :-)

Probably on average 3 hours a week (if we don't count DPC surfing and then it would be just pathetic). Sometimes more if I actually have to leave the house to shoot.

I average anywhere from 1-3 hours.

Not enough...wish I didn't have to work a job so that I could be out and catching the right light of the day. I work from 730am to 5pm so there is no morning light some days and the sun has set on others. Just kind of sucks to have a regular job.

I am still learning many things so I spend about 5-8 hours, most of it trying new things that just don't work.

20-24 hours would be a conservative estimate. Includes processing time and printing. But, I'm retired and have the time to play.
