Ran into an odd thing just now to bring to admin attention.
I was just trying to replace an image presently in my portfolio, with a slightly different version, even smaller than the current version presently here, and get an error saying it exceeds my portfolio space. I thought maybe it was a cache thing, so I saved it again in PS with a different file name completely, and tried again, to no avail. I understand about max portfolio size, but should be able to replace an existing pic with another of a smaller file size.

Update:
Just tried again and this time it took. Seems there is a time issue involved. |

Possibly it's trying to upload to the portfolio while the old "version" is still showing up. During the upload, you probably have two "versions" of the same photo taking up room. Once the new version is fully uploaded, then and only then will the old one be removed from the portfolio. Does that make sense?
Just speculation, but seems feasible.
Edit: Scratch that.
