Well, for some insane reason, the people at my local gallery have allowed me to have an show of my photography. So here's a formal invite to any of you in the Kenosha, Wisconsin area.
Show Name - F 8 and a Prayer
Place - Pollard Gallery, 518 56th Street, Kenosha, Wisconsin
Date - October 13th, 6:30 - 8:30 pm
Yes, I realize that giving you an invite to a reception taking place tomorow night is really short notice. You're right, I probalby am a big putz for doing that. But, frankly, I couldn't think of anyone here that lives close enough to make it.
Still, if you show up at the door you'r ewelcome through the door - whomever you may be.
If you do show, c'mon up and shake a hand. It would be nice to meet someone from DPC in person.

Hey Mike that would be cool. Since I live here in Great Lakes just south of you maybe I can make it. I'll see what I can do. Good luck on it.
BTW...any particular attire required for this? lol I don't own a tux and my suits are in Kentucky :)

How long will your work be showing? I will be up in Wisconsin over Thanksgiving, and could possibly swing by for a look-see!

Hey, I might actually be able to make this! I will be going right past there (well, up I94) on the way home from work. I'l see if the schedule will allow me to make a detour.

Just wanted to post a big THANKS to Mike for the invite to his opening. I was able to attend, and what a great experience it was... Mike, you chose well, the shots you are exhibiting really give a sense of what you're about as a photographer. I thoroughly enjoyed studying your work. BTW, nice job on the framing, I really like how you presented the photos.
It was good to meet you in person as well. What an honor for you to have your work exhibited alongside that of the Pollards! Awesome achievement.

It was really good to meet you too. Sorry I could not be a better host, but as you saw things kept me busy. Over 100 people came through the door and I sold 5 pieces (four I could jsut hand over, the fifth is a reprint of one of the four). Naturally I was really psyched by the numbers as this was my first attempt at a show. Am already researching a topic for the next show - am thinking of making it a women's only show, with entertainment that ties into the subject.
Again, thanks a lot for coming and visiting!
