Get a grill, I make pizza on mine all the time, way better than the oven in the kitchen.

I never thought of that. What do you put it on, a stone? I've done pizza in a messkit before but never on the grill.

I make the dough, throw it, then put it on a hot grill for 2-3 minutes til the bottom is just crisp. At that point, I take it off the grill, flip it over and put the toppings on the side that was just cooked. Then I put it back on the grill over indirect heat and let it cook til the cheese on top is just turning golden. Take it off, let it rest for a few, then slice and serve. It goes pretty quick and there's usually limited space on the grill, so I usually make a few smaller, 9"-10", pizzas as opposed to one giga-pizza.

The grill gets much hotter than a regular oven and cooks more like a pizza oven. I've also heard of people lining their ovens completely with fire brick, but that seems excessive and would take FOREVER to heat.

That is what is so nice about pizza in Napoli, It really is a pride thing with them. They take such care in the way they make the pizza's and I love the wonderful wood flavor from the wood ovens!

Oh this has made me crave real Italian cooking, in Italy not some local, pretending to cook Italian, restaurant. The trouble is that once someone leaves their country to start up a restaurant elsewhere they adapt their recipes to the new country's likes and dislikes. So the people say wow we're eating real I talian/Chinese/Thai food but it is actually nothing like it!!! Added to the fact they cannot get their supplies from the same place so it has got to taste different.

Best Pizza I've had in 45 years of travelling in Italy, was in a workman's/local pizza placce on an industrial area near Napoli airport! Delicious!!!

no breakfast. for lunch, a 6 oz. Coke in a glass bottle with a pack of dry roasted peanuts poured into the bottle. yummmy! it's a southern delicacy. :)

Is it true what they say about peanuts dissolving if left overnight in coke??

lol...i dunno. i drink the Coke with the peanuts in it so they're never in the coke long enough to tell. :)

Nothing, I suspect. Last year a high school student in New Zealand did a science project to test the old story about Coke dissolving teeth (his dad is a dentist, so teeth were available). He included several common beverages, for comparison purposes. The MOST corrosive drink tested? ... pure fresh orange juice! The LEAST corrosive? ... Coke! The results were widely reported in the NZ papers.

So, that's what's making them so darn cranky! :-)

Just a joke. Have a joyous Ramadan.
