I have a Powerex "Powerbank MH-DPB140Li" I don't need anymore since I've sold the Coolpix 5700. It's an external, Lithium-Ion power pack that can be jacked into the camera and dramatically increase how long you can shoot. It's a MUCH more affordable solution than multiple extra proprietary batteries. About the size of a pack of cigarettes. Works like a charm, and incredibly useful for point-and-shoot camreas with their notoriously limited battery life. Comes with an AC adaptor and a car cigarette lighter jack for recharging; great for when you're on a road trip.
See it here.
I paid 60 bucks for this and I'm open to offers.

NO interest? This is a very cool thing for those of you with P&S cameras...

That's a totally cool idea, unfortunately, my camera is good for over 600 pictures on a charge of AA's. After a rather bad experience with weak*** proprietary batteries, and buying a third party one which wasn't liked by the charger, but was fine in camera, I sold my first digicam and vowed to only use cameras that take 4 AA's afterwards (except DSLR's of course which typically get 500-1000 shots and can take battery grips in Canon)
If anyone else has a P&S that doesn't take AA's, this is a super idea.
Looking mostly at Sony and Panasonic users. |
