I'm sure that this has been covered about a million times and I've searched but haven't found any answer.

First off, I know that the SC is busy and in no way want this to come off as a rant just a simple question. I was asked to provide proof on a pic that was submitted in one of the current challenges and my question is this, how long should I have to wait before getting back an answer?

It's been more that 2 days and still now answer, help!

Thanks all,
NaldSLC

It all depends. Sometimes fairly quick (I had a validation by the next day once), sometimes not. I know if it is something that is a close call, sc wants to give the photog all the leeway possible and get as many sc members as possible to weigh in to the decision. That can take some time, different time zones, schedules, etc.

Validation time varies from image to image. If the validation is related to something easy like dates we can turn things around quickly. If the DQ is editing related it can take longer.

Holiday weekends in the US usually drag the process out a little longer. :)

And I have the whole weekend off! Yay!

Only problem is it's raining! And I don't mean nice little showers. I mean raining the animals are marching two by two where the heck is my ark raining.

Okay, getting bent.

Tomorrow it will be officially 1 week since asked to provide proof and the challenge will be over and still no approval. I'm getting comments to the effect that the image "looks illegal" which I'm sure partially explains the low score. I'm sure it's not the WHOLE reason but none the less........people who can't figure out an effect are voting on it "looking" illegal.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Best regards,
Stuck in the approval process
