After more then a year of not knowing what would happen to me at my work we got word a few weeks ago that we would get outsourced to the big allmighty IBM.
I'll keep my job, and keep doing the same work for at least the upcoming transition time (3 years) so I don't have to worry for now.

It wasn't a realy nice time, not knowing what would happen to me, but today I got my offer letter from IBM and also my "goodbye" letter of the bank I work for.

My new employer will pay me just a little bit more money then I allready got, but still there is a minor change in bennefits. (most of wich I didn't even use)
So to compensate this minor difference they calculated how much that would be over the next 5 years and they will pay me that money next month.
And I can tell you that's nice, it's enough to buy myself my studio (finaly) a new 24" widescreen LCD and 2 new lenses that I allready wanted a long time, and still I will only have spend half...
So half for me, half for the savings account.

I know there are a few shops going to be happy with me in the near future...
And I am happy that I finaly know what going to happen to me offcourse...

Sounds like a very gentle transition now that your year of uncertainty is over. Most employers don't treat their people that well these days.

What lenses are you going to get?

That's a nice story. Happy to hear. Now...if only you can figure out a way to shoot that for celebrations...good luck, and I hope you'll remember a favorite charity or two to share the good times with.

Well the bank that I am still working for is known for treating their employees well...

I'll get the Sigma 10-20MM Ex and the Tamron 28-75 XRDi f2.8
A Dell Ultrasharp 2405FPW 24-inch widescreen LCD-flat-panel
And I'm still not sure about studio equiptment. I'll try out a bunch of stuff at the store. They promissed me they would take 2 hours to show me everything as soon as I was ready to buy..
