Any herpetologist out here? Had a snake slither through the backyard yesterday and suspect it's still here somewhere. Caught a shot of it, but not the head as it was moving way too fast and was disappearing into a dark clump by the time I got the cam. So caught some scale patterns.
Would like to have this identified. Sri Lanka has 10 known venomous species, and some are said to frequent urban areas. We have a house lot next door that's empty and not built on, and suspect maybe snakes are using that.
If any can help, I'll post up a couple of pics of the slithering body. Thanks.

Post a couple of pictures - I know a heptologist in Switzerland and he may be able to identify them for you. He has beem able to identify all my pics of snakes and lizards, etc.
