A lakeshore walk from Soldier Field to Millenium Park is always nice, if you have a lot of time and it's not hailing.
Along the way
At the end of the line

...the fountain (especially at night), people, couple zoos, tons of stuff, come a little north on 94 to Lake Cook then go east (right) to the botanical gardens too. //www.sabphotography.com/gardens/ I haven't made it down to Millenium (spelling?) Park where the bean and other items are but hope to soon, maybe this weekend since I can't head down to KY and I get Monday off...Thank you Columbus!

| Have fun at the Porcupine Tree concert. A friend of mine turned me onto them 3-4 weeks ago - I've melted the Deadwing CD, I've listened to it so many times... |

When I've been there I like to hang out downtown. Just park somewhere and walk around all day.
The museum of science and industry is pretty cool, as is the aquarium. If it's a clear day go to the top of the sears tower or the hancock building.
If you see a place called "Portillo's" stop there for lunch and get an Italian Beef! They are all over Chigaco. Best beef sandwich I've ever had!
