Yep, I read somewhere that for every pixel you crop, God kills a kitten. Or maybe it was a puppy. I can't remember. ;)


Actually, it's a kitten and a puppy, and sometimes even a baby bunny ;P

In Photoshop - rectangular marquee - set width and height ratio.
Then draw your rectangle to cover your area. Click and hold in the center and move to where you want it.
Under image menu - click 'crop'.
For landscape view
4x6= 1.5width
5x7= 1.4width
6x8= 1.33width
8x10= 1.25width
(simply divide smaller dim into larger)
