So last week while out shooting my "From the ground up" entry I met up with a friend and we went out for some grub at a Diner on Amsterdam near her apartment in NYC. I carried my camera with me and shot a bunch of shots along the way. I took this shot without even looking while the camera sat unsuspectingly under my arm while we ate. A couple of days later I see the challenge is Coffee Shops. I couldn't enter this one and I didn't want to try and fake a spontaneous moment. What can I say? What do you think this shot would have rated?

While it is a good image with lots to look at and admire, I think you would have had a really hard time "selling" it to the voers as a coffee shop image. I hope you did get to submit as I totally missed out due to timing.

good luck.

I like it a lot and think it would've been a great entry. The only thing I'd change is to rotate it a little bit. Both the wall and the table have a slight slant to them.

I think that's a really sweet shot. I'd have rated it highly.
