I've become miffed & displeased, both at the same time, with high taxes & taxes on top of taxes. So what can be done about it?

I would like to start a new country, but there are a few questions that need to be answered. With the brain-trust resident here at DPC it should be no problem.

1. Is there any land available to start a new country?
2. How to get this land?
3. What should our flag look like?
4. We need a catchy slogan.

There are the first few of many questions, I'm sure. Who's up for starting a new country with me? I don't want to run it or anything, I'd like to maintain as little responsibility as possible (my life-motto).

Let's get it started. What have you got to offer?

Can i nominate myself as Miss DPC Nation? I swear I will commit to all my duties and if anything shall happen to me, my replacement will follow through.

Miffed and displeased, are you sure you're not irritated as well?

1. There's plenty of land available all over the world, just got to persuade the natives to let us have it.

2. We could shout "Look behind you, there's a really, really nasty monster just about to eat your house" and while their backs are turned, we move in.

3. This could be the skull and crossed lenses.

4. Slogan: "It's not my fault, blame him/her"

Okay, I gonna be the UK ambassador. However, I think we might need to plan the takeover from your father - do we nego...negio...damn can't spell it, so I guess we creep in there when it's dark and plant the flag. No need for violence...well, perhaps a little later on if anyone tries to get the land back.

The slogan of your country could be:

"No Tax: No shoes, no service, no money, no crops, no healthcare, no exports, no government, no citizens...but we have a flag."

number 3, we need a flag...I find a white flag is very useful.

number 4, slogan...It wasn't me! I had my eyes closed!

Well, I guess not, but someone has to make a sacrifice for the new country. I would do it willingly, but I live too far away.

I like the idea of a virtual blue ribbon for a flag, but I like the idea of having Miss DPC nationa as our flag even better...

How about this place 100 miles from the coast of France. Oh someone already has
"Sealand was founded as a sovereign Principality in 1967"

AH, what have we here? a subversive type from Hants!! There is such a thing as protocol, kirsty...and as Ambassador for UK in DPCNation, all subversive comments should be channelled thru my office...um, spare bedroom, er...cupboard under the stairs.

Don't forget the national anthem. Something grandiose by Beethoven, Elgar, Britten, Grieg or Motorhead.

The national symbol: a lame duck or that other DPC forum speciality, a dead horse.

Ah ha! Yes, we have an authentic country going now.
The pecking order is installed and subject to amendment.
